I bought this to replace a Ring that kept falling off my wifi. The Doorbird seemed perfect, hard wired into both power and my network with ethernet. It is larger then the Ring but that means it isn't missed. Godd video and night viewing. I would recommend this over a Ring which in my experiance did not deliver.

Certainly a quality product, well built, marked down slightly because the various connections whilst flexible are awkward to use. The adapter for the use of PPOE is very clumsy and could be improved. Otherwise the installation is relatively easy The setup is reasonably straightforward too, though you need to be reasonably tech savvy to get the best out of it. After a bit of trial and error, I have it working with Synology NAS and Surveillance Station and interfaced with Fibaro Home Control 2. The PPOE or direct Ethernet connection method is **definitely** recommended. I found the use of wireless very hit&miss despite a strong wifi signal. I guess the metal housing doesn't help.I used PPOE and also installed the PPOE Doorbird Chime. It works faultlessly but there is a notable lag to the video feed to iPhone and iPad. I guess this is to do with the fact it goes via a cloud server. All-in-all a good product; hopefully with a little more product development on the software, drivers and device integration it will become a great product. Definitely worth 4-stars
